Greenbelt Prize 2009-2010

The staff of the Greenbelt Review is pleased to announce the 2009-2010 contest for the Greenbelt Prize in creative writing.

Our guest judges this year are Lucy Corin for fiction and Joe Wenderoth for poetry. 


The competition is open to all. We accept fiction of up to 2,000 words and up to three poems per entrant. There is no submission fee.

The submission deadline is February 1, 2010. Winners will be announced April 1 and winning works will be published shortly after on the web site.

Prize awards will be given for the top three winning entries in both fiction and poetry.

Submission guidelines

We accept submissions only by e-mail. You may send us work at All submissions must be previously unpublished work. 

We accept simultaneous submissions. Please notify us immediately if the work is accepted elsewhere.

In the subject line, please indicate whether your submission is fiction or poetry. In your manuscript, please include a separate cover page with your name, e-mail address, mailing address, title of work(s), a recent photo, and a biographical note of up to 100 words. Please do not put your name or other identifying information on any page of fiction or poetry.
